OneGoal (“OneGoal,” “we,” “us,” “our”), a college access and success nonprofit that works to close the degree divide and create a more equitable future for students, owns and operates the OneGoal Summer Hub website available at gradplan.org (the “Website”).  This Privacy Policy describes how we may collect, use, and disclose personal information from visitors to our Website (“you,” “your”). It also describes your choices regarding use, access, and changes to your personal information.

 

By accessing or using OneGoal Summer Hub Website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Website.

In addition to reviewing this Privacy Policy, please also review our Terms of Use, which serves as the agreement between you and us. 

 

Information We Collect

When you visit our Website, we will request that you provide information that may personally identify you, or that is linked or linkable to information that may personally identify you. We refer to this information as “Personal Information,” and we use it in order to provide certain features as described below:

A Note About Children

Our Website is intended for individuals aged 16 and older.  We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals younger than age 16.  Should we learn that we have inadvertently collected Personal Information from someone younger than 16, we will take steps to promptly delete it.

 

Usage Information and Tracking Technologies: 

When you visit our Website, our servers automatically collect the Internet Protocol (“IP”) address associated with your device. We may also collect additional information such as your browser type and version, the operating system of your device and language, country, as well as areas in the Website you visit most frequently and when, and how you navigate our Website, including where you move your mouse on the page and links you click on.  We use this information to help us administer the Website, remember your preferences, and diagnose technical problems.  We also analyze the information for aggregate trends about how our Website is used and to help us improve our Website. 

 

To collect this information, we use the following technologies:

• Cookies. Cookies are small data files sent by a website and stored on the computer or device at the request of that site. Cookies store information related to a user’s browser to enable us to recognize the browser on return visits to our Website and to remember your preferences. Most browsers can be set to detect browser cookies and to let a user reject them. • Pixel tags. A pixel tag (also referred to as a “clear gif” or “web beacon”) allows us to track the online usage patterns of the Website and to understand which links are clicked. When we send you emails, pixel tags also allow us to track which emails are opened. We use this information to help us improve the Website and measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

 

Third Party Cookies and Tracking:

We use third-party service providers, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to assist us in collecting and understanding Usage Information. In addition to providing this information to us, these parties may use Personal Information they receive or that they collect in accordance with an ID they assign to you, to improve their products, to provide you with advertising, and for other purposes in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting information about you and recognizing you on return visits to our Website by disabling cookies on your browser or by installing the Google Analytics opt out plug in. We do not serve targeted advertising on our Website, however, when you use the Internet, we and our third party partners,  including advertising networks, analytics companies, and social networking platforms, as well as other third parties not affiliated with us, may use cookies, pixels, and other tracking technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across our and other websites.  We may use this information to target advertisements to you about our Website, and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. Unaffiliated third parties  may use this information to target advertisements for products and services they believe may interest you. 

We do not honor “do not track” signals transmitted by web browsers. For more information about third-party advertisers and how to prevent them from using your information, visit the NAI’s consumer website at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices or http://www.aboutads.info/choices/.  If you do want to opt out using these tools, you need to opt out separately for each of your devices and for each web browser (such as Chrome, Edge Firefox, Safari or others) that you use on each device.  

 

How We Use and Share Your Personal Information

We do not access or disclose your Personal Information except as noted at the time that we request it and as described below:

• To maintain and administer our Website and to ensure the security of our Website, including providing support, services and security by our third party providers.
• To communicate with you, including to respond to your requests via the GuideBot and Messaging if you choose to opt in to receive SMS text messages, to resolve a support issue, notify you about changes to the Website, and to solicit feedback on your experience.
• In the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, assignment, bankruptcy, or similar organizational change, we may need to transfer your Personal Information to that re-organized entity for them to use in accordance with this Privacy Policy
• We may share your Personal Information with entities assisting us in an investigation or as may be required by applicable law in response to a known or suspected violation of our terms of use, fraud prevention or other unlawful use.
• We may use and disclose your Personal Information as necessary to protect our rights or the rights and safety of our users, or as necessary in the event of a court order, regulatory inquiry or other lawful request. 
• To provide you with SMS text messages with information, reminders, and resources related to the pursuit of your post-secondary goals when you opt-in to receive them. At any time, you may opt-out of receiving further SMS text messaging by texting “STOP” in response to any message you may receive or by contacting us at summerhub@onegoalgraduation.org.

 

How You May Modify Your Information 

If you would like to review, correct, update or request that we delete Personal Information you have provided to us, please contact us at summerhub@onegoalgraduation.org and specify what you would like to review, correct, update or have deleted. 

 

Third Parties

We engage with third parties to facilitate our delivery of our Websites and to provide certain features on our behalf, such as data hosting, analytics, content delivery, delivery of the GuideBot and Messaging features, maintenance, security and similar functions. These third parties may require a limited amount of information, including Personal Information, in order to deliver their services. 

 

We may also share aggregated demographic information that is not linked or linkable to Personal Information with OneGoal funders and secondary school partners. 

 

Links and Social Sharing Widgets

Our Website contains links to third party websites, including video players and social networking websites. The fact that we link to a website is not an endorsement or representation of an affiliation with that website. We do not control third party websites or their privacy practices. These other websites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you. 

 

Our Website may also contain social network sharing widgets. These widgets may provide information to their associated social networks or third parties about your interactions with
pages that you visit on our Website, even if you do not click on or otherwise interact with the plug in or widget. The information is transmitted from your browser and may include data such
as an identifier assigned by the social network or third party, information about your browser type, operating system, device type, IP address and the URL of the web page where the widget
appears. We do not control the behavior of third party websites or social network sharing widgets, including their information collection practices. Those sites have their own privacy policies that
govern their collection, use, and disclosure of personal information you may provide to them, and we encourage you to read them.

 

Social Media
We use social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Discord, to communicate with you and to allow you to engage in communication with us. We may
integrate these social networking services into our Website as described above. When you provide information on social networking services or other online forums, it may be publicly
available, viewable by us and others, and also used by others, including the social networking services, for their own purposes. We do not control others’ access to and use of your
information, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy and terms of each website or service that you visit. Please consider your use of social networking services carefully, as your
use of those services is at your own risk.

 

Security

We use physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your Personal Information. However, the Internet is not perfectly secure and we are not responsible for security incidents that are not reasonably within our control. 

 

Data Retention

We delete the Personal Information you provide through use of Guidebot and Messaging after 6 months of inactivity. Otherwise, we retain your Personal Information for as long as is permissible under applicable law,  including as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, comply with applicable industry standards, and protect the security of our Website. 

 

Opt-Out Policy

If you have opted in to receive SMS text messages, you may opt out at any time by texting “STOP” in response to a message or by sending a request to opt out to summerhub@onegoalgraduation.org.

 

Updates to This Policy

As our Website evolves, we may make changes to this Privacy Policy. The “last updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised, and updates will become effective when they are posted.
