PCs for People is all about getting low-cost computers to those who need them.
PCs for People is centered on getting low-cost computers and affordable broadband internet into the homes of low-income individuals.
To be eligible, you must have a qualifying household income OR you must be enrolled in an income-based government assistance program, such as SNAP, Medicaid or Federal Housing Assistance. Check this out for details on how to show proof of income or program participation.
You’ll also need a photo ID in order to enroll.
Acceptable photo IDs include a driver’s license or state ID card, passport, veteran or student ID card, or a work-issued ID. You do not need to provide proof of citizenship.
Once you qualify, you can order a computer, laptop, or internet hotspot online, shop in their store at 100 Florida Ave., Belleville, IL 62221, go to an upcoming in-person event, or visit a device pickup location. Here is the complete list of pick up locations.
Oh, and they have high speed internet, too. At $15/month for those who qualify, or completely free with the Affordable Connectivity Program, their plans have no contract and no credit check.
