Insight Timer is the #1 free meditation app on Google. It has over 80,000 free meditations and includes an option to access some of the content in Guest Mode — without even creating a free account.

Balance

Balance was Google’s Best App of 2021. And they’re currently offering a full year membership, free. Which means all of the benefits of a full fledged meditation app for free this year.

Smiling Mind

Smiling Mind’s app has daily meditation and mindfulness exercises – all 100% free, all the time. It was designed to help bring balance to your life, in 10 minutes a day.

Plum Village

Plum Village is a free app and YouTube channel with guided meditations, deep relaxations and other practices offered by Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh a global spiritual leader, poet and peace activist, revered around the world for his pioneering teachings on mindfulness, global ethics and peace. You can also download some of his books for free:

Serenity

Serenity has a solid amount of free content and a free daily mini-meditation as well. You just have to opt out of subscribing repeatedly in the first few screens.

Fragrant Heart

Fragrant Hearts website has free guided meditations, sorted by category, like Meditations for Relaxation & Stress Relief. They have long and short meditations to fit into your schedule – some as quick as the 1 Minute Calming Meditation. You can find more free meditations at their sister site, Quiet Lotus 

Call4Calm

Call4Calm is a free-of-charge text line that can provide you with emotional support and practical resources. Text “TALK”, or “HABLAR” for Spanish speakers, to 552020 . You will receive a response from a local counselor within 24 hours ready to help. Your anonymity will be protected. You can also text keywords such as “unemployment”, “food” and “shelter” to receive information on how to access the support you need.
