Jobs for Chicago Students with an IEP

Chicago has a job program specially designed for young adults with IEPs.

Got an IEP? This Job Program is for You!

The Chicago office of Bridges from School to Work matches youth with disabilities between the ages of 17 and 24 with entry-level jobs requiring little to no experience.

Here are some examples of the types of support the Chicago Bridges program offers young adults:

  • Identify career goals
  • Create or revise a résumé
  • Develop interviewing skills
  • Connect with employers
  • Get hired and succeed in their new job.

More about Chicago Bridges

The Chicago Bridges program began in 1990. Bridges staff members, known as Employer Representatives, work closely with each young person, providing instruction, guidance, and mentoring that increases confidence, builds character, and enhances professionalism. Young people leave the program ready to work and have success in their new role.
